A familiar name on the high street, Chapmans was established in Cradley Heath, West Midlands, way back in 1925 by Mr. Ewart Chapman. It was a time when electricity was starting to become widely used within industry and was slowly being adopted as a replacement for gas lighting domestically.
Ewart trained as an electrical engineer and Chapmans was originally launched as an electrical contractor. Shortly afterwards he opened his first shop, at the heart of the Black Country, stocking radios and early domestic appliances.
Chapmans has grown ever since and the shop is now somewhat of a local landmark. Now approaching it's 100th year, it remains a family run business to this day - where cutting edge technology meets the old world customer service, with enduring values of honesty, integrity and a sense of doing what is right being passed down through the generations.
In an ever changing world where technology advances so rapidly, Chapmans offers the reassurance of having friendly knowledgable staff on hand to guide you, a real spotlight on customer service and a long established independent family business - a name you know you can trust.
