Gas fire servicing will ensure your gas fire is set up properly and all products of combustion are being extracted into the chimney correctly and not spilling dangerous carbon monoxide into your room.
Just by simply replacing your coals and ensuring they are correctly positioned can significantly increase the heat output from your fire. Also with open flame coal effect fires dust particles can block airways which can cause sooting or in worst case scenarios lead to actual blockages and release of carbon monoxide into your room.
